Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP) goes vBulletin

For those out there in the ’sphere not a member of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP), they’ve just migrated their current member discussion areas to a web-frontend provided by vBulletin.

ASP members can hit it here.

While most readers out there who are accustomed to some kind of pretty web front end for their discussions, the ASP has been a long holdout for preference of a newsgroup bulletin format. For the most part this has been an acceptable solution…there are a lot of folks out there who use the current web / game technology, but prefer some of the antiquated versions.

I’ve been a member for a few years now, and personally although I’m excited to have access to a web-capable version that’s NOT blocked by most corporate firewalls, I never had a big problem with the “old way” either.
