And this is where things got strange with their online activation / upgrade process. I was using a "Trial DVD" that I picked up for $1.99 at a local CompuSmart and tried to upgrade THAT account. Turns out..you can't. If you sign up online and download the trial client directly from Blizzard, you have no problem upgrading that same account to a regular subscription. However the same cannot be said with the Trial DVD. In fact....I had to point out to Blizzard Support that there is NO mention of this "small detail" in any of their online account documentation that I could find. Yes thanks Ken.
